Trisha was a 12-year bone cancer survivor. Her left leg was reconstructed with a bone from a donor. It was always her wish to pay it forward. The family has donated to Duke University Research & Innovation and LifeNet Health in her honor.
Her 16-year-old son Grayson describes her as an amazing mother who was sweet, kind and caring. A special memory of his is at breakfast time. She made him peanut butter toast and would sing a silly song as she was preparing it for him. They shared many morning giggles. It made her happy to see him happy.
Trisha had the biggest heart and loved fiercely. She was always very generous and would give everything she had and more to help someone else. She was fondly known for her infectious snorting laugh and the best hugs. She was a fun-loving spirit and will be truly missed by all who knew her.
A private family celebration of Trisha’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to The Grayson Cromwell Fund via Venmo Account: @Amy-Dunn-76
