Sheryll Elizabeth Wade

Wade, Sheryll Elizabeth, 79, of Highland Springs, VA, born June 27, 1947 in Wayne, MI, took God’s hand and went home on Sunday, August 16, 2026. She retired from the Commonwealth Club of Virginia after many years of service to start her favorite role as Grandma’s Daycare to love on her grandchildren. She was a devout God fearing woman and faithful child of God at Glen Allen Church of Christ.

She dedicated all of her spare time to loving, teaching, and setting an example to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She had a passion and talent for baking, and maintained a part-time cake decorating business of her own.

Sheryll was preceded in death by her parents, William Sterling Johnson and Dolly May Johnson, her brother, William “Corky” Johnson, and her granddaughter, Tommi Elizabeth Williams. Surviving to cherish her memory, her faithful husband of 51 years, Howard E Wade, her loving daughters and sons, Melissa Williams, Kimberly Waldron (Tony), Cynthia Wade, Michael Wade, and Doug Wade. Her beloved grandchildren, Kristen (Lee), Amelia, Joshua, Kyle, Alora (Damon), Preston, Abigail, D. J., Brian, and Mary. Her precious great grandchildren, Chloe, Seth, Noah, Trayce, Tristyn, Lincoln, Presley, Trenity, Kinley, and Tru. Her lifelong best friend and cousin, Carol Smith. Her cherished sister, Teresa Brenan. And the countless “adopted” children whom she opened her heart and home to.

A memorial to celebrate her beautiful life is planned for Saturday, September 12, at 1:00pm, at Glen Allen Church of Christ, located at 11064 Staples Mill Rd, Glen Allen, VA 23060. In lieu of flowers, she would ask you to donate to a charity in honor of her love for charitable kindness towards others.
