Born on September 14, 1971, Sean was a hardworking, selfless, and deeply devoted man whose love for his family knew no bounds. He spent more than 23 years working as a lighting technician, dedicating himself to his profession with the same determination and unwavering work ethic that defined so much of his life. Even when life presented its greatest challenges, Sean continued to give everything he could to the people he loved.
To know Sean was to know someone you could always count on. He was a pillar of strength, a steady presence, and a helping hand to anyone who needed one. It didn't matter who you were, what you were going through, or what you needed—Sean was the kind of man who would always be there. His selflessness was not something he sought recognition for; it was simply who he was.
Although Sean enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, nothing brought him greater happiness than being surrounded by his family. He loved fishing whenever he had the chance, spending quiet evenings watching television with his wife, and playing games with his children. Among the most cherished memories are the countless hours spent gathered around the table playing poker as a family. Whether the games lasted late into the night or carried on into the early morning hours, Sean was always happy to be there, sharing laughter, stories, and precious moments with those he loved most.
Above all else, Sean loved being a father. Of all the roles he held throughout his life, fatherhood was the one he treasured most.
His love, dedication, and sacrifices for his family spoke louder than words ever could. He was a source of comfort, strength, and unconditional love, and his presence made the lives of those around him better simply because he was part of them.
Sean was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Zelma Lawless; his brother, Anthony (Tony) Lawless; and his sister, Madonna (Donna) Lawless.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patsy Lawless; his daughters, Lenaie Ratcliffe (DJ) and Samantha Cole (Michael); his brother, Chris Lawless (Wendy); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones whose lives were forever touched by his kindness and devotion.
There are no words that could ever fully capture the man Sean was or the impact he made on the people fortunate enough to know him. He was more than a husband, a father, a brother, and a friend. He was someone people leaned on, someone they trusted, and someone whose love and presence could make even the hardest days feel a little easier.
While his absence leaves an immeasurable emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him, the memories he created, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely will remain forever.
A man who spent his life being there for everyone else will now live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
In accordance with Sean's and his family's wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Sean's life, with details to be announced at a later date.
Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
