Patrick “Pat” Wayne Cox, Sr., 63, of Buckingham, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Linwood and Leonia Cox; son, Jeremiah Cox; and brother, William Christopher Cox. Survivors include his wife, Teresa L. Cox; son, Patrick W. Cox, Jr.; grandson, Layne Cox; brother, Linwood Cox, Jr.; and sister, Janet Cox.
Pat was born on October 9, 1962, in Richmond; he had a childhood where he was always surrounded by love from his parents and siblings. He found his passion in life, building log cabins, after working various jobs throughout his life. Pat was a kind and generous man who enjoyed building things, fishing, and hunting. He was a man who was very much loved and will be missed by many.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Amedysis Hospice for providing comfort to Pat in his final days.
