Maria Perez

Maria Perez, 83, of Midlothian, VA, moved on from this earth on September 28th, 2026 and is now with Jesus in Heaven. She leaves a legacy of faith in the Lord, a love for her family, and a devotion to her church with those left to cherish her memory.

Maria was born in Santa Clara, Cuba on February 8, 1943, to Gregorio and Calixta Perez. In 1967, she came to the United States and settled in New York City, where she met Juan Antonio Perez. They were married in 1969 and shared more than 49 years together until his passing in 2018. In 1984, the family made their home in Virginia.

Maria found great joy in baking and, above all, in gardening. She spent countless hours outdoors tending her flowers and plants, and her garden was a reflection of the care she gave everyone around her.

Among those left to cherish her memory are her children, Anthony Jesus Perez, Deanna Maria Perez, Juan Carlos Perez (and Laurie); her sister Maria Amelia (and Felipe) Roche; her brother Jorge Perez; her brother and sister-in-law Andre and Mary Perez; her granddaughters, Caylie and Alexis; and many nieces and nephews, and many-many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was a treasure to all who knew her and will forever be loved and greatly missed.
