Keith Eli Schoenblatt, age 67, of Glen Allen, VA passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025 after a sudden illness. He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin Schoenblatt and Hyla Schoenblatt of Brooklyn, NY and his nephew Lance Cherry of Maui, HI. Surviving him is his soulmate and devoted wife of 38 years Jackie Schoenblatt, cherished son Joshua Schoenblatt of Glen Allen, VA and daughter Bryanna Jackson and son-in-law Tre Jackson of North Chesterfield, VA and his loving sister Mona Cherry of Maui, HI. His loss is deeply felt by his extended family of four sisters-in-law, 3 brothers-in-law and 11 nieces and nephews.
Keith unconditionally loved his wife Jackie, son Josh and daughter Bryanna who each of them meant the world to him. One of his life’s passions was being the best husband and father for his family. He also loved and cared for his mother as she aged. He never gave up on supporting his family financially or spiritually. He was there for them in good times and bad.
He was an optimist who loved whatever he was doing. He always told his children “There is always another move or action to take that would lead to success in life.” He never wanted them to give up or accept a bad choice, there was always the option to change and make life better.
Keith was the Finance Operations Director at Allan Myers, the largest mid-Atlantic heavy civil contractor working throughout VA. At work, Keith was an inspiring finance leader who led others to get results. Keith’s work ethic was beyond reproach, he passionately attacked work like he was devouring his favorite food, hot dogs. Outside of work Keith was considerate of others, lending a hand whenever possible. He was active in community projects and made it to church every week being there for his extended church community.
Keith was a man of his word, and he put others before himself. The world will miss him, and he will live on by the deeds he did for others while in this world. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of his life on September 18, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Glen Allen VA. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to The American Cancer Society.
