Joyce Ann Hartness-Hurt

Joyce was born September 6, 1938 in Chicago, Illinios, to the late John Charles Retinger Sr. and Grace Nelson Retinger.

Preceeded in death by her husband William Hurt, former husband Hugh Hartness Jr., son Christopher Hartness and brother John Retinger Jr.

Joyce is survived by sons Hugh Hartness III and Jonathan Hartness (Connie) Grandchildren Sam Hartness (Jessica) Austin Hartness, Jared Hartness (Kelley),Taylor Gladden (Tyler) and Great Grandchildren Anna, Danielle, June and Heidi and brother Ralph Retinger.

A special thank you to her dear friend Susan Warren and to all the staff at Heritage Green and Ascend Hospice for their care and support.

A memorial service to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held at a later date in Rough Creek, VA
