Harvey Lee Sutton

Harvey Lee Sutton, 87, of Richmond, Virginia passed away on May 25, 2024. The son of Mary Lee Sutton and Harvey W. Sutton was born in Portsmouth, Virginia. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and was a proud alumnus of Virginia Tech with a degree in electrical engineering. He remained an avid, livelong supporter of the Corp of Cadets, College of Engineering, and Virginia Polytechnic Institute as a whole and lived by the motto Ut Prosim. Following the Corp of Cadets, Harvey proudly served in the United States Army then worked for VEPCO/Dominion Power for 35 years as a Senior Engineer (Portsmouth), Nuclear Specialist (Surry), and Lead Executive (Richmond).

Harvey is survived by his wife of 64 years Agnes Sutton, his sister Jackie, nieces Derinda (Ray) and Melissa (Steve), sister-in-law Patsy (John) of Denver, and other special family members including Cassidy, Sutton, Jonathan, and Brittany.

After cremation there will be a private family celebration of life.
