Gordon Charles Lowe Jr.

Gordon C. Lowe Jr., age 78, of Midlothian, Virginia, passed away September 22nd, 2021, peacefully in his home after a long and courageous battle with diabetes and kidney failure. Gordon was born on March 16, 1943 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Harriet and Gordon Lowe Sr. He attended Easton High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Muhlenberg College and a Master’s of Education from Kutztown University. He was married to his wife Carolee for 54 years. Gordon spent 35 years teaching 5th and 6th grade in Easton, PA and Lopatcong Township, NJ. He was actively involved with his Bible Study group and a member of the New Jersey Retired Education Association. He was a member of First United Church of Christ in Easton, PA, where he served as a Sunday School superintendent for eight years. He loved traveling and gardening and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at his homes in Florida and the Pocono Mountains, PA. After spending the majority of his years in Easton, PA, Gordon and his wife, Carolee, moved to Midlothian, VA and enjoyed being closer to family. Gordon is survived by his wife Carolee, of Midlothian, VA, daughter Amy (Robert) Zombron of Chesterfield, VA, son Andrew (Lynne) Lowe of Lebanon PA, and brother Douglas (Sharon) Lowe of Easton, PA. He was a beloved “Paps” to his five grandchildren- Alexandra, Zachary, Madelyn, Elizabeth and Zoe. He was also a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A scholarship will be given to an eligible student in Gordon’s name.

A graveside memorial service at Stewartsville Cemetery will be held on Friday, October 15th at 10:30am.

A private luncheon will be held following the service.
