Dorothy Claudette Waddell

Dorothy, known as Claudette to friends and family was born November 18,1937 to Minnie Blanche Tyler and Charlie Claude Alderman. She was born and raised in Seminole Heights, Tampa Florida. Through the course of her life, she lived in Tampa, Japan, and Alexandria, Virginia before retiring to Plant City Florida. She was previously married to Samuel R. Jones with whom she shared three children. She loved gardening, fishing, history, western books, and a good war movie. She was active in her church as well as in many Lineage and Historical Societies. She had a great love of animals and over the years had a plethora of dogs, cats, birds, and the occasional duck.

Claudette is survived by her son, Samuel R. Jones Jr and his wife Eileen. Her daughter Debora C. Jones Korich and her husband Fred. Her grandchildren, Angela Jones, John Thomas Jones, Delicia Wallnofer (Jeffrey), Amyee Korich (Charles), Andrea Morello (Charles), Rebecca Walsh (Sean), and David Oester. Her great grandchildren Paige Hicks (Steven), Virginia Wallnofer, Carmen Wallnofer, Joseph Morello, and Zoe Morello. She is predeceased by her husband of 57 years Frank Waddell who passed on their 57th Wedding Anniversary, as well as her parents Minnie and Claude Alderman, her sister Judy Cave, her daughter Pamela Lee Jones Oester, and her grandson Samuel R. Jones III as well as her first husband and the father of her three children, Samuel R. Jones, Sr.
