Born in Richmond, VA, on January 17, 1971, David was the beloved son of Claude and Pam Wilkinson and the devoted father of Charlie and Jonah Wilkinson. David graduated from Midlothian High School, the University of Virginia, and the MCV School of Dentistry. He was the proud owner of Wilkinson Family Dentistry in North Chesterfield, where he cared deeply for his patients and community. Outside of work, David’s greatest passions were golfing and water and snow skiing.
A member of Salisbury Country Club in Midlothian, he celebrated one of his proudest accomplishments by winning the senior club championship in 2023. David often said that golf “saved his life,” and he cherished the friendships, competition, and joy the sport brought him. One of David’s happiest places was his family’s river house in Dunnsville, VA—a cherished retreat he visited every year since birth. There, he found peace, laughter, and countless memories with those he loved most. In addition to his parents and children, he is survived by his sister, Kristin Conroy (Brendan); his niece, Katie Spiggle (Guss); his nephews, Reagan and Keenan Conroy; the mother of his children, Kit Wilkinson; his former wife, Wellons Mast Moog; his aunt, Nim Butterworth; and his cousins, Chris and Andrew Winters.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am, on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Salisbury Presbyterian Church.
