

Danielle Marie Beeckler-Hawkins 28, of Matoaca, Va., passed away March 3, 2022. Danielle was born on December 4, 1993, to Carolyn and Patrick (Rick) Beeckler of Chesterfield, Va. She is survived by her loving husband Christopher Berkley Hawkins, and 8 month old daughter Avery Mae Hawkins; her sisters, Suzanne Beeckler-Steinhorst (Rhys) and Riley Beeckler; niece Natalie Steinhorst and grandmothers, Judith Ann Beeckler and Barbara Carolyn Gardner. In addition, she left many close and loving aunts: Kathy, Sherri, Carol and Heather; uncles: Bob, Scott, Tim and Ken; and cousins: Bobby, Samantha, Charleigh, Jackson and Allie. She also left her loving husband’s family: Chris and Michelle Hawkins, Lauren Hawkins-Lee (Jeremy), nephews Hayden and Barrett; nieces Teagan and Layla; grandmas Rosie Constantine and Barbara Robertson.
Danielle was born at St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond, VA. She attended Clover Hill High School where she was a cheerleader and graduated with honors. She volunteered at La Prade Library from age 13-15 and volunteered at Johnston Willis Hospital from age 15 until she went to college. She attended James Madison University and graduated with a degree in Health Services Administration. She began her professional career at VPFW (Virginia Physicians for Women) in 2015 where she worked until 2017, then took a position at UNOS (United Network for Organ Sharing) as a Performance Improvement Specialist, where she was currently employed. Danielle was a member of the Matoaca Women’s Club and served as Health and Home Health Chair. She was a hard-working, kind and dedicated woman who liked “giving back” and enjoyed working for an organization that focused on saving lives.
Danielle was a strong Christian who was very active in St. Luke’s United Methodist Church growing up. Church plays, bell choir, youth group, praise band, visiting elderly, and participating in Vacation Bible School each summer are just some of the many activities she loved. After marrying Berkley, they began attending LIFE CO. Church where she became active in a couples’ and womens’ small groups, and volunteered in the nursery.
Danielle got engaged to Berkley on March 26, 2016, her parents’ anniversary. Danielle married Berkley on September 16, 2017 at Meadowbrook Country Club. On July 8, 2021, she gave birth 2 months early to Avery Mae Hawkins, currently 8 months old.
Danielle’s favorite place was the beach at Nags Head, NC where her great grandmother Alcina Hovey owned a condo. Her family spent a lot of time at the beach each summer, and hold many fond memories. She was a beach loving girl, whose infectious smile always lit up the room. From the day she was born, she was full of joy and smiles and will leave such a huge void not only to her loved ones, but to the world.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 11:00 am at LIFE CO. Church, 12501 Life Trail, Chester, VA 23831.
