

She had retired from her position of benefits administrator with Allianz Global after a career in database administration. And had received her database programming certification from js reynolds in Henrico.
Originally from Connecticut, she was a long time resident of Virginia and often professed her love of being a Virginian.
Charlene loved knitting and crocheting and was praised for the number of hats and toys she crafted for the homeless as well as family, friends, and co-workers. She also loved what she called "playing in paints".
She is survived by her birth mother, June Lee Daniel; sons, Devon Williams and Brian Williams; sisters, Eleanor Smith, Sheila Walls, Sharon Walls, Paulette Walls; nieces, Erica Smith and Monique Daniel, and brothers, Jimmy Daniel, Dean Daniel, James Walls; and seven wonderful grandchildren, Nakiera, Caleb, Aniyah, Kareem, Amari, Alijah, and Devyn; as well as her spiritual sister, Wilhelmena Johnson; and spiritual brother, Randolph Ricketts.
