Carole Reese Taylor

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Carole Reese Taylor, on July 3, 2026, at the age of 77. A resident of Colonial Heights, Virginia, she will be remembered by those who loved and knew her.

Born on October 21, 1948, in Petersburg, Virginia, Carole lived a life that touched many with a wit that could light up the room. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Petersburg, Virginia, and worked many managerial positions throughout her career in the banking and residential construction industries. Prior to declining health, Carole was passionate about her grandchildren and the time they spent together at wrestling, football, and hockey events.

Carole is survived by her children, Berkley Taylor-Allen (Larry) and Robbie Taylor, Jr. (Carter), as well as her grandchildren, Corbin Allen, Carson Allen (Trinity), and Brayden Taylor. Her siblings include Nita Wells, Ronnie Reese, Ray Reese (Brenda), Sandra Blaha (John), and Kaye Kennedy (Lou), and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Reese, and her mother, Corinna Constance Reese.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Blandford Cemetery, private for family only. Rest easy now, dear “Mama, Gema, and Sister.” You will forever be in our hearts.
