Barbara C Sutton

Barbara was born in Roanoke, VA; and earned her BS and MS Degrees from Virginia Tech in Foods and Nutrition. She managed many hospital food services during her career. These included Martinsville Memorial Hospital in Martinsville, Va; Radford Hospital in Radford, VA, and Lewis Gale Hospital in Roanoke, VA. Her last place of employment was with the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Hampton, VA and Buffalo, NY. After her retirement in 1997, she moved to Richmond, VA.

Barbara's true passion in life was her family whom she adored and spent as much time as possible with. She is survived by her four children: Nancy Sheffield (and her husband, David), Barbie Vest (and her husband, Gary), Peggy Jarmon (and her husband, Scott), and Geoff Kerr (and his wife, Lisa). Barbara had 9 grandchildren: Joie & Dustin; Dyer, Bryan & Barbara; Nikki & Jarad; and Jessica and Taylor. She also had 8 great-grandchildren.

Barbara was a member of the Providence United Methodist Church, 901 S Providence Rd, Richmond, VA 23236. A memorial service will be held there in the near future. She will be laid to rest with her family in the Evergreen Burial Park in Roanoke, VA.
