Arthur was a proud Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving on the U.S.S. American CV-66. After serving in the Navy, he went on to work for the railroad. He later went to work for George Westin Bakery where he retired as the Regional Manager. During his leisure time, Arthur enjoyed watching the local news and sharing his spirited opinion about world events.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children Pamela Fick, Gayle Williams, Samantha Eaton (Kevin), A. Bruce Jr. (Clarissa) and Shawn Weers. Many grandchildren whom he loved dearly; two sisters, Mary Pack and Sarah Peterson, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
One bright side is that in recent years, Daddy had discussed his final wishes with all of his children. He asked to be cremated with no fuss. We have plans for his ashes, many he knew of, that will happen over time. So to honor his wishes to the best of our ability, in lieu of a traditional funeral, we ask to do what he enjoyed most. Surround yourself with family and friends, enjoying a cup of coffee, a cookout, or some fired chicken, loving one another, in his honor.
If you desire, you can make a donation in his honor to Wounded Warriors of a Military Veteran related organization.
