October 6, 1949 – June 24, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, Duyen Nguyen, who departed this world on June 24, 2025, at the age of 75. She was surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of strength, compassion, and unwavering devotion.
Duyen was born on October 6, 1949, and lived a life defined by resilience and deep care for those around her. She was widowed in 2020, after a long marriage to her late husband, Tao Van Le with whom she shared many treasured years.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Uyen Stadts loving son-in-law, Shay Stadts and two cherished grandsons Liam and Jace who were the light of her life. She also leaves behind countless memories of generosity, warmth, and wisdom that will live on in all who knew her.
A true caretaker at heart, Duyen carried a tough exterior that protected a soft, golden heart. She expressed her love through acts of service, most notably through her cooking. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, where every meal was a labor of love. No one ever left home hungry—she found joy in making sure others were nourished, not just in body but in spirit.
Even as she battled chronic illnesses in her later years, her selflessness never waned. She remained the primary caregiver for her younger brother, Tuan Nguyen, tending to him daily with tireless compassion and quiet strength. Her ability to put others before herself, even in the face of her own struggles, was nothing short of remarkable.
Duyen taught those around her what it meant to love without condition, to give without expectation, and to endure with grace. Her absence leaves an immeasurable void, but her legacy of love, care, and quiet heroism will continue to guide her family every day.
A private temple service will be held to honor her life on June 29, 2025 at Van Hanh Temple in Centreville at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that acts of kindness be performed in her memory—whether by cooking a meal for someone in need, caring for a loved one, or simply showing compassion where it’s needed most.
