Erin Hess
Manager
A licensed funeral director, Erin is a Pittsburgh, PA native, who moved to Richmond in 2006. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Financial Accounting and is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. In 2004, Erin graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 2004. She joined the Cremation Society of Virginia in December of 2006 as a funeral director, and became manager in May of 2007. She spends her free time volunteering with the Junior League of Richmond, working out, and spending time with her family and friends.

Matt Metschke
Funeral Director
Matt was born in Omaha, NE came to Virginia while serving in the United States Army. Matt has extensive experience in funeral service, having worked for several firms, as well as serving as a Mortuary Affairs specialist in the Army. While stationed at Fort Lee, VI, Matt was called upon to provide mortuary support in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks on the Pentagon. Matt joined the staff of the Cremation Society in September of 2007. Matt enjoys most spectator sports, cooking, and traveling.

Jessica Troup
Funeral Director
Jessica moved to Virginia, from Pennsylvania in 2002. She graduated from John Tyler Community College funeral services program in 2005 and joined the staff of the Cremation Society in October 2007. She resides in Chesterfield county with her husband Tim and their two dogs Mattie and Dunkin.

Bruce Wells
Office Manager
Bruce hails from Richmond and after spending several years in Texas, Colorado, and Florida, returned to "The Old Dominion" in 1998. He currently lives in Chesterfield with his wife Virginialerie, grandson Dravyn, and two cats; Maggie and Cricket. Bruse is a veteran of the United States Air Force and the Virginia Air National Guard and is also a licensed minister. Bruce has seven years experience in the funeral industry and began working at the Cremation Society of Virginia in December of 2007. His favorite part of his job is being able to offer compassionate care to the families that he serves.

Jack Shelar
Cremation Technician
Jack has worked for the Cremation Society of Virginia since June of 2007 and has worked in the funeral service industry since 1969. He resides in Goochland with his wife, Vicki, and his two dogs Baby and Odie.

Donald Billups
Cremation Technician
Donnie has worked for the Cremation Society of Virginia since October of 2006. Donnie and his wife Natalie have four children, Caitlin, Catherine, Ethan, and Timothy. Donnie enjoys sunsets, walks on the beach, and loves the Red Sox.
